This department covers emergency and general care and treatment to all the common diseases that fan out through the society that are minor threats to the patients, regardless of their age or sex. The doctors in this department are guided by the respective specialist to provide the necessary treatment.
This department targets to manage types of illness that present in an undifferentiated way at an early stage of development, taking into consideration the biological, psychological, and social factors relevant to the care of each patient’s illness.
A Medical officer’s duties are not confined to specific organs of the body, and they have particular skills in treating people with multiple health issues. This department also deals with patients presenting during out of service hours of consultants b assessing the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history taking, examination and investigation
A Medical Officer was first employed to LHAH in April 1994 and the service has continued since then without any interruptions.
